In January-September,China’s aluminum alloy wheel exports gained 4.6% year on year to 634,700 metric tons, valued at 2.955 billion US dollars, a surge of 10.7% over the corresponding period of 2011. The average price stood at 4.66 US dollars/kg, 0.26 US dollars/kg more than a year earlier.
China’s export value of aluminum alloy wheels reached 366 million US dollars in September 2012.
The country delivered 79,200 metric tons of such wheels to overseas markets in September, with average price at 4.63 US dollars per kilogram.
China’s domestically produced alloy wheels were sold to 171 countries or regions around the world in the first nine months of this year.

During the first nine months of this year, the value of alloy wheels exported to the above 30 countries or regions totaled 2.787 billion US dollars, accounting for 94.3% of China’s total alloy wheel exports during the period.
Also in the first nine months of 2012, there were a total of 2,824 tire makers that delivered alloy wheels to overseas markets.

The above 30 enterprises realized combined export value of 1.878 billion US dollars in the first nine months of this year, accounting for 63.5% of China’s total aluminum alloy wheel exports, while the Top 100 wheel exporting enterprises posted combined export value of 2.536 billion US dollars during the period, representing 85.8% of China’s total.
