Automobile production in China totaled 17.14 million units in the first nine months of 2013, up 15.3 percent year on year, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said on Tuesday.
The growth rate was up 0.2 percentage point from that in the January-August period, said the NBS.
Specifically, sedan output in the January-September period amounted to 9.54 million units, a jump of 14.5 percent from a year earlier, while the monthly sedan output in September gained 10.4 percent year on year to 1.14 million units.
In September, China made 2.073 million motor vehicles, up 17.5 percent year on year, said the NBS. (Edited by Olivia,Olivia@tireworld.com.cn)
