“I think China auto manufacture and sales growth has chance to exceed 10%. According to its volume, it will reach 21 million.” Yang DONG, vice president and general secretary of China Auto Industry Association told media on 7 Dec at Fotan 2020 Strategy Forum. “From Jan to Oct this year, auto manufacture and sales national wide reach 17.8 million. Oct single month manufacture and sales has reached as high as 1.9 million. According to tendency years before, it does not has any problem to reach 1.8 million in Nov and Dec. If we plus all figures together, there is no doubt to exceed 10% growth.”
As mentioned about the future of China auto market, Yang DONG said that “China auto will remain 8%- 10% growth in the next 5 to 10 years.”
What he says further, we have environmentpollutant, energy and transport issues at present, but we still have about half people transport by motorcycle instead of automobile. In China, car ownership is 120 million. It is the same figure for motorcycle ownership. Those motor users are potential car consumers in the future.
“We will spend more attention on build and research development.” Yang DONG said, for China automobile industry, it has a symbol for powerful auto country build, which is take research and development seriously. Therefore, China Auto Association appeals to auto industry to increase its research percentage to 3% to 4% in the future, which “Small Four Groups” reach 3% and “Big Four Groups” reach 4%.
