Sedan inventories at dealers in China fell sharply in June but still stayed much higher than the normal level, according to a source with the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).
The average stockpile period of indigenous brand dealers, a measure of the period between car production and registration, shortened to 49 days in June, down from 61 days in May, but still longer than the normal range of 24 to 36 days.
The CADA said both domestic and foreign dealerships had been cutting prices to trim inventories and meet their sales targets.
