China exported 638,600 motor vehicles in the first eight months of this year, a drop of 5.5 percent year on year, according to the latest statistics released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
China's passenger vehicle exports during the first eight months totaled 386,100 units, down 5.5 percent year on year, according to the CAAM.
In August, China's auto exports reached 70,600 units, down 26 percent year on year and 11.6 percent month on month. Passenger car exports in August came to 41,400 units, down 34.1 percent from a year ago and down 17.9 percent from the previous month.
