China's automobile production and sales both dropped in April from a record high in March, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said in a statement.
Auto production dropped 6.1 percent from a month earlier to 2.07 million units in April, while sales declined 7.6 percent to 2 million units, according to the CAAM.
On a year-on-year basis, however, both production and sales rose 8.8 percent last month, said the CAAM.
