Infiniti’s car sales in China reached up to 40,188 vehicles, advancing 33.8 per centon a year-on-year basis in the light of the report released by iton January 12, while the general growth rate of Chinese luxury car market in 2015 was about 5per cent.
Its market share continued to increase to 2.2 per cent, compared with growth of 1.3% in 2012.
China-built models consisted 58 per cent of the automakers’ overall sales, reaching 23,431 vehicles, revealing that domestication helped exploiting the local market.
Especially two China-built models from Dongfeng Infiniti, Q50L and QX50, made major contribution, the former’s salesstanding 17,400 vehicles and the latter’s sales reaching 8,054 vehicles.
It was pointed out that domestication manifested increasing importance for foreign car brand since car import slid recently. Gross imported vehiclesin China in 2015 decreased for the first time to 1.067 million units, down 25% per cent on a year-on-year basis.
The manufacture would launch its first compact luxury SUV QX30 in the second half, expecting to booting greater sales this year.
