China exported aluminum alloy wheels of 304 million U.S. dollars in January, down 19.4% year on year, and the export volume declined 13.5% to 65,100 tonnes. The unit price was 4.67 dollars/kilogram, according to figures released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
In January, 357 Chinese manufacturers exported aluminum alloy wheels and the total exports of the top 40 exporters were 254 million dollars, accounting for 83.6% of the product’ s total exports; and those of the top 100 exporters were 293 million dollars, accounting for 96.5% of the total.
The top five exporters in terms of exports are CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd., Shengwang Auto & Parts (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Wanfeng Auto Wheels Co., Ltd., Liuhe Light Alloy (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. and Baoding Lizhong Wheel Group Ltd.
China’s aluminum alloy wheels were exported to 114 countries and regions in January, the top 40 export destinations took up 97.7% of the total exports, or 297 million dollars.
The top five export destinations in terms of exports are the U.S., Japan, Mexico, Thailand and India. The U.S. took the first place with 160 million dollars and was followed by Japan with 51.6 million dollars.
