Sales of alternative energy passenger vehicles were about 30,000 units, with a year-on-year rise of 162% in the Chinese market in July, according to data from China Passenger Car Association (short for CPCA).
Green vehicles market in this country has begun to grow from March to July after regress in the first two months, due to increasing market volume and governmental policies.
Sales of green passenger vehicles in July were 29,479 units, with a year-on-year rise of 162% and month-on-month decrease of 13%, which included 9,161 units of plug-in hybrid vehicles with a yearly rise of 51%, and 20,318 units of electric vehicles with yearly rise of 293% and monthly decrease of 18%.
Total sales of green passenger vehicles were 150,000 units in the first seven months, with a year-on-year rise of 140%, which included 100,000 units of electric vehicles with a year-on-year rise of 184%, and 500,000 units of plug-in hybrid vehicles with a year-on-year rise of 33%.
Governmental policy has led to development of China green passenger vehicles in 2016.
