According to statistics from Qingdao Customs, there were 5.28 billion yuan of tires exported from Shandong Province, yearly increasing 10.8%.
Statistics showed that EU、ASEAN、Korea、U.S. and Japan were top 5 export destinations in 2018.
Tire trade with EU yearly increased 17.9% to 21.46 billion yuan, and with U.S. decreased 22.6% to 17.77 billion yuan in Shandong Province in 2018.
Analysts said that U.S. started to collect anti-dumping & anti-subsidy duties on China from February 15,2019, which would push Shandong's tire export to U.S. market continuing declining in 2019.
Good news showed that tire trade with countries in China's One Belt and One Road Plan were generally higher than average level.
Tire trade with those countries year-on-year increased 13.4% to 47.7 billion yuan, and tire export rising by 20.4% to 26.79 billion yuan, while import up by 5.7% to 20.91 billion yuan.
In 2019, Shandong Province planned to develop markets in Latin America like Brazil、Argentina、Chile and Peru, said a vice director of Commerce Department of Shandong Province.
