Shanghai rubber futures rebound on Rammasun impact

Rubber futures traded on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) saw a rebound on Tuesday (July 22, 2014) as Typhoon Rammasun in Southeast Asia and South China sparks supply fears.

The most actively traded contract for September 2014 delivery ended at 14,130 yuan/metric yuan, up 130 yuan from the previous settlement.

Reports said heavy rain flooded large areas of croplands, including rubber growing areas, in the Philippines, southern Chinaand Vietnam.
