* The most-active rubber contract on the Shanghai futures exchange for September delivery rose 90 yuan ($12.79) to finish at 11,495 yuan per tonne.
* The U.S. dollar was quoted around 106.2 yen, compared with about 106.47 yen on Tuesday afternoon
* Oil prices dipped on Wednesday as potential damage to the global economy and fuel demand from the intensifying Sino-U.S. trade dispute continued to cast a shadow over the market
* Japan’s benchmark Nikkei stock average was down 0.33%
* TOCOM’s technically specified rubber (TSR) 20 futures contract for February delivery closed up 2 yen at 144 yen per kg
* The front-month rubber contract on Singapore’s SICOM exchange for September delivery last traded at 130.7 U.S. cents per kg, up 0.1%.
