The park, a $340 million investment, has a total area of 7.5 million square feet, including sections for manufacturing, processing, trading, storage and research. The project, when completed, is expected to become China’s largest rubber recycling park.

The project aims to process the equivalent of 400,000 tons of scrap tire each year, including a 300,000 tons per year capacity for rubber modified asphalt, a 100,000 tons per year capacity for recycled rubber, a 180,000 tons per year capacity for rubber crumb, a 300,000 tires per year capacity for retread, and a 100,000 tons per year capacity for scrap tire cracking.

The facility will function as a link combining upstream and downstream sectors and also will be a provider of rubber recycling machinery, according to local reports.
