Malaysia's minister to sell palm oil, rubber in China

Malaysia's minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Douglas Uggah Embas, plans to visit China between September 12-17, hoping for exporting palm oil, rubber and wood to China.

Malaysian palm oil output surged 17% year-on-year in August, the fastest pace of growth since May 2014, which drives inventories higher, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board.
Anaylsts said this will likely keep near-term prices depressed, although lowprices should attract new demand, particularly from bio-dieseland emerging markets looking to build inventories.

Meanwhile, Malaysian natural rubber export fell 25.8% compared with July last year. And China is Malaysia's laregst importer, taking 34.4% of total natural rubber export in Malaysia.

Minister Douglas' visit to China means to help enterpreises in two countires further cooperate on palm oil, natural rubber and wood business.
