The annual growth of China’s tire output during the 2011-2015 period was 5.69%, according to information released at China Rubber Conference 2016.
During the 2011-2015 period, the output of radial tires in China grew at 6.65% annually, that of semi-steel tires was up 7.16%, and that of all-steel tires increased 4.78%.
Deng Yali, chairwoman of China Rubber Industry Association, said the 2011-2015 period was a winter for the rubber industry, both domestic and overseas markets encountered obstacles and the industry grew much slower.
Nevertheless, Deng predicted that by 2020, China’s tire output would reach 721 million and the annual growth for the 2016-2020 period could be around 5%.
It is predicted that in 2016, China’s vehicle tire output would reach 572 million, up 1.23%.
Included are 523 million radial tires, up 1.55% year on year (with all-steel tires down 3.63% to 106 million and semi-steel tires up 2.96% to 417 million), and 49 million bias tires, down 2%.
