China has lately launched a new bio-rubber R&D project, led by Professor Zhang Liqun from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
The project has drawed 18 participants, including universities, scientific and research institutions and enterprises.
Experts will work on technologies of extracting rubber from dandelion and eucommia and applicating that kind of new rubber in tires, conveyors and elastic components of mining machineries.
Also, experts will study the production and application technologies of itaconate rubber and copolyester rubber.
Ling Long Tire, a leading tire maker from Shandong province of China, will take charge of studying the application technologies of the bio-rubber in tire making.
