China's Rubber Industry Association has launched a plan to realize half of tire, produced by over half of radial tire manufacturers, could meet “green” tire standard in the next two year.
The “green tire industry research” program group has been established. It plans to fulfill the drafted project by the end of May, 2013, and apply for acceptance inspection from Raw Material Department in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology .
Zhao Wenquan, deputy secretary general of China Rubber Industry Association says, the "green" tire industry development research will be carried out in two steps: step one is to complete basic technical preparation for industrialiazation, such as drawing up national standards for "green" tires, qualifying laboratory conditions; Step two is to implement product labeling scheme, striving to meet requirements for launching the scheme by the end of next year.
The green tire industry research program group will organize four subject research teams, which are respectively in charge of green tire products performance indicators, energy saving and environment protection indicators, green tire production process technological study, and green raw materials guide, which marks China's "green" tire strategy entering the practical stage, an insider said.
