Chinaimported 2.18 million metric tons of natural rubber in 2012, up 3.6% from 2011, the General Administration of Customs said Thursday.
The monthly import figure for December 2012 came to 210,000 metric tons, slightly down from the 220,000 metric tons logged in November last year.
Chinais the world’s largest natural rubber consumer.
