China produced 4,702,200 tons of carbon black in 2013, year on year increasing 7.74% compared to the same period of 2012, according to statistics from China Rubber Industry Association.
It is the first time that growth rate of China’s carbon black production dropped to one-digit growth after ten year of two-digit growth.
Statistics showed that China exported 719,900 tons of carbon black and imported 93,900 tons last year. China’s carbon black apparent consumption showed 4,076,200 tons in all in 2013.
China increased 207,500 tons of carbon black production capacity in 2013, yearly up 3.45%. Amongst, 28 units of carbon black manufactures owned 50,000 tons/year of production capacity, taking 87.5% of total production capacity.
