The latest statistics released by the General Administration of Customs show that in May, China’s carbon black exports totaled 60,094.19 tons, up 9.32% from Apr. or up 10.62% year on year. The average export value was 628.75 U.S. dollars/ton, down 2.64% from Apr. or down 22.8% from the same period of 2015.
With regard to the export destination, 19.78% of carbon blacks were exported to Indonesia; Thailand, 17.23%; Vietnam, 11.72%; Japan, 10.93%; and India, 8.28%.
About 38.41% of carbon blacks were exported through Tianjin Customs, ranking the first in China; Qingdao Customs, 16.51%; Shanghai Customs, 12.66%; Yantai Customs, 12.05%; and Qinhuangdao Customs, 5.61%.
In view of the place of departure, Jingdezhen of Jiangxi province where Jiangxi Black Cat Carbon Black locates ranked the first with a 27.65% proportion by export volume; Dezhou of Shandong province ranked the second with a 9.95% proportion; Xingtai of Hebei province, 9.87%; Dongying of Shandong province, 9.19%; and Binhai New Area of Tianjin municipality, 5.01%.
