Qingdao, China-based tire and rubber manufacturing equipment supplier Mesnac formed a sales and marketing arm to expand its business footprint beyond Asia.
Mesnac Global Sales and Marketing Co. (SMC) will be led by Zheng Jiangjia, who also is executive vice president of Mesnac. Zheng will lead five regional sales and marketing teams in China, Southeast Asia, India, Europe and the Americas (North and South America).
P. David Jones, based in New York, has been named general manager for the Americas region.
Formed in 2000, Mesnac calls itself the “world’s second largest supplier of tire and rubber manufacturing equipment,” and now “needs to establish a global network for sales and service to support its customers.”
“We have now reached a stage in our development where the global reach to our customers has to be changed from the headquarters in Qingdao to a regional basis,” said Zheng. “We recognize that real time communication and speed of service is something that our global customers expect. With our recent expansions and acquisitions we are now in a position to utilize our international expertise to provide such a global service.”
