Shanghai-based manufacturer, SD International has introduced winter tyre models across several of the company's established private brands – Pace, Zeta and Maxtrek.
The new Pace Antartica winter tyre range is made with a silica compound, a V-shaped tread pattern design, high density wavy siping, 3D sipes and a stiff shoulder block. The passenger car Antartica 5 is available in sizes between 175/65R14 and 255/40R18 in T and H ratings; the Antartica 6 SUV pattern has sizes ranging from 215/70R16 to 255/55R18. The Antartica 8 van pattern is available in a size range from 195/70R15C to 235/65R16C. Pace tyres are manufactured in China, meeting various international standards including DOT, ECE, E4-S, Inmetro, GCC as well as being REACH compliant.
The Zeta brand, also produced in China, has a winter collection to compliment the existing ranges in UHP, SUV, 4x4, van and truck sectors and also incorporate advanced design technology meeting the ETRTO standards for Europe.
Completing SD International's portfolio of quality winter tyres is the Maxtrek studless Trek M7 winter range, which includes a new tread design that aims for increasing the quality of the brand’s performance in low temperatures, maintaining grip and traction on all road conditions including snow, ice, water and mud. Other benefits include dual stability solid central ribs for improved steering response, wide spaced blocks to improve driving in snow with greater displacement from the grooves. The range also has a special silica soft compound with five wide circumferential grooves for improved traction on wet roads. The tyres are available in ultra low profile and V speed rating, making them a higher performance winter product.
