Besides the self-driving car of Google, China's domestic model is also around the corner. Mr. Li, the CEO of Baidu, has confirmed recently the self-driving car of Baidu will be put into the market within this year.
According to related information, the self-driving car of Baidu will equipped with radar, camera, GPS and other electronic devices. With synchronization sensor, what the owner needs to do is only to enter input the destination into GPS system. During the driving, the car uploads road condition by sensors and judge the direction and speed on the basis of mass data.
Mr. Li says Baidu will cooperate with third-party auto enterprises, which are still classified and won’t be take charge of hardware. Baidu will also use recognition technology of hearing and vision in the system research and development.
At present, the magnates in China are all preparing the connected cars industry. Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation has annouced to cooperate with Alibaba and LeTv has also released related plan. Google, Tesla, BMW, Audi and India Mahindra are all operating self-driving car project. But what is noticeable is there are no related policies about self-driving car in China at present.
