Chengshan Group has lately held a seminar for the construction of Shandong Multi-Scale Tire Life-Cycle Manufacturing & Innovation Center in Rongcheng, Shandong province.
The innovation center is initiated by Chengshan Group and co-built by Prinx Chengshan, Sailun Jinyu, Fengyuan Tire, Hengfeng Rubber & Plastic, as well as Xingyuan Group.
Moreover, a total of 25 downstream automakers, research institutes, and raw material and facilitating enterprises participated in the establishment of the center.
Che Baozhen, general manager of Prinx Chengshan (Shandong) Tire Co., Ltd., said the center follows the principle of resource sharing, collaborative innovation, and green and intelligent, in a bid to reach high-level R&D capacity through close cooperation among the industry, academies and research institutes.
With an overall investment of about 276 million yuan, the innovation center is scheduled to complete construction by 2019.
